delamere road - manchester window
The Manchester Window detailed deployed this time is a development from previous ones, so the extent of the Manchester Window has been reduced to match the window underneath enabling a neater join.
The existing water filled double glazed door unit and sticky silver tape were removed.
The sloped pane of glass has an overlap on the bottom edge carrying water away from the wall but production changes meant that we could not obtain side overlaps.
The side including part of the party wall was covered in aerogel, with vapour permeable metal roofing underlay and a layer of lead, all held in place by a larch wedge under the EWI.
